That is sadly scary! ........... But why did it take over 2 years to bring him to court (for a guilty plea) and another 5+ months for sentencing??

I saw that earlier. With the way his wife is acting it makes me wonder whether or not they had a plan for the toxin together.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.
