Tank Bred Abei?

Post by romandy »

As some of you who have followed my other thread may know, i recently bought a Abei puffer.

I bought it from wildwoods in enfield, the guy who sold me it told me it was a tank bred fish from thailand. i though all puffers were wild caught and ive never really heard of breeding them.

Wildwoods hahah I have been there very expensive shop! I have only ever heard of Dwarf Puffers and GSP being successfully bred not abeis. Most puffers are impossible to breed as much as they are impossible to sex unlike dwarfs etc...

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Give a fish a man, and he'll eat for weeks.

And some lurkers have been captive bred as well. That is not new.

Only DPs have been commercially bred here in the USA SFAIK
