Sand keeps fogging up tank?

Post by greenspottedlover »

I put my sand in and the next day the tank was clear. I put my powerhead back in and no matter what I do it blows the sand around giving the water a milky appearance. Any thought? :(

My first thought is that you didnt fully wash it, which means you just have to wait for the crap to come out of the sand. Or you have to take it out and wash it again.

or aim the powerhead so it hits the top not the sand/

Washed it. It cleared up fine till I added the powerhead. I adjusted the powerhead so we shall soon see if thats the problem.

Do you have cotton floss in your filter? That'll "polish" your water.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

When PP starts claiming age, just think how I feel! I date back to "angel hair" filter packing. Be glad that is not used anymore. It cut your fingers and could damage gills.
