My Fahaka "JABBA" Going In the 535 gal
Thank you, everybody at the forum for your imput and great advice, but fahaka people won me over; with their damn wonderful fanciful fahaka stories, still it was close, but I settle for my "JABBA THE HUT" JABBA for short, the cutest fahaka to ever grace a 535 gal tank. He arrived this morning, I acclimated him gently and turned him loose on the unsuspecting tank inhabitants whom welcomed him with indifference, not knowing he will be sizing them up before long. I turned the light off for the rest of the morning, so he could adjust slowly to his massive home. He looks great and healthy, but he disappeared into the foliage, but he reappeared shortly. One of the perch tried to put him in their mouth but he fought him off and took up his spot on the driftwood. He seems to be holding his own. Do you think I should keep the light off for any amount of time; because when it is on the other fish become dormant, also will he adjust to the bright light? I dropped some bloodworms in there and he found some of them and gobbled them up and tomorrow I'm going to throw a bunch of ramshorn snails in there with him, I hope he can hunt them down in this big tank. He look like a pea puffer in there. I'm worried for him. I will have many more questions as we grow together.

Awesome!!!! How big is he? It's great that he's already eating! Took Ares three days to eat for me. He's gonna be so happy in that tank! We need pics!

Jabba is 2.5 inches and they have tried 3 times to get him in their mouths, but he'll have none of that, I'm still a little afraid for him. I put 6 photos in the link.

Re: My Fahaka "JABBA" Going In the 535 gal
They have been trying to eat him all day so it was easier to move him to a 120gal than to move 13 hungry 11" perch from a 535gal. He is now safe with {4} 1" clown loaches. I will return him when he is at least 4" do you agree?

That would be fine. Fahaka grows fast in the first year or so.
