Trumpet Snails as GSP food
I heard somewhere that they are to hard for GSP's teeth, is this true. I know where I can get some is why.

I feed them but I crush them with pliers first.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Their shells are extremely hard & difficult to crush, so very possible can chip a puffer's teeth.

I'd have to side with the rest on this... They are very hard. My Ceylon loves them, but his beak in incredibly strong. He can bite clam shells into bits...

Common pond and common ramshorn snails are too easy to culture for me to consider ever risking a puffer's incisors to any MTS. That is another NIMFT (not in my fish tanks).
