Cute :)

Does he look a bit thin to anyone? I'm not used to seeing DPs up so close but I thought they were more rounded.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

He's not skinny, he's athletic! :)

His buddy is skinny though, and I'm worried. He won't eat the blood worms, picks at the snails, but doesn't "eat them". Still swims around and hunts. He only wants "live" foods. The one pic'd above will eat anything and greets you at the glass. Very smart little guy.

Note the differences between the 2 in the picture below.

NIce Puffers J-P

For sure the one DP on that last picture doesn't look right. IP's.

Are you treating it for IP's?

yep did the IP thing... he just won't eat. He's been that way for a long time now. Even medicated foods.. just picks at them and then leaves it once it stops moving.

no.. they were at the LFS. They were special ordered so I couldn't "hand pick" them either.

I don't know what the distributor was feeding them, but when I received them, they all looked healthy.

what about trout worms? i dont know what they would be called up there in canada, but here they are smaller worms sold for fishing. like little skinny earthworms. they would wiggle like crazy and not stop even after being bitten a few times. might entice him enough to eat. unless you tried something similar already

Tried the tongs... didn't work, he was afraid of them.

Haven't tried the earthworm yet. I know the ones you're talking about though. I'll check the bait shop and see what they have :)
