Scary Fish Store

Post by greenspottedlover »

The only place I could find puffers locally was a store where most of the tanks were full of dead/dying fish. The GPS's I purchased there actually were in brackish water, but when I asked the lady working there what the gravity of the water was she said "I don't know, we just dump some salt in there".

You don't live in Kentucky do you?..lol One of my lfs's that is the only one that carries puffers does the same. They have already been in trouble acouple of times for being cruel to their animals. Mainly because they hire anybody off the street and dont train them in the care of the animals. If so then they do an extremely poor job at it.

Its like that in petcos/petsmarts sometimes to. I went to one to buy a lizard once, and when I ask someone to unlock the tank for me they said "I won't touch those, they're gross". plus I ask another worker and they gave me a simular response and asks a third worker to do it, who finally did.
