Does anyone have any experience of these? I am a TOTAL novice to marine tanks, but hope to make the switch from BW next year.

Crappiest skimmer on the market. I got one for free & use it in an emergency but you can do a lot better than that. Noisy too.

Octopus HOB skimmers are some of the best for the $, but as any HOB it can be relatively noisy and microbubbles can be an issue.
