Hi I have a 48"x12"x15" tank is this suitable for two or more sap's?

Sure, they'll love the length. Try powerheads at each end. I'd keep 3 in there.

Thanks for the quick response. Would it be ok to keep them with some tetras and a clown loach that I already have in another tank do you think? from what i've read providing tank mates are quick they will be ok, what is your opinion?

I think since the recommended stocking for SAPs is: 15g for the 1st (20L being optimum)& 10g for every one after, your tank would be fully stocked at 37g.
