Spots on GSP skin?

Post by SaltNewB »

I have two green spotted puffers and have had them for about 5 months. Within the last month or so they have both developed some weird spots/patches on there skin. The one is more noticeable then the other. You can also see the spots a lot better under straight actinic light but can see it with alot closer look under normal light. I'm wondering what the spots/patches are from? Both GSP are eating like pigs and seem to be carrying on with there day to day doing laps around there power head, playing follow the leader and taking turns swimming back and forth down the bubble wall " I think they like all the bubbles on there bellys or it tickles them or something but they love it lol" I have been feeding them krill and today for the first time I gave them raw unshelled shrimp. They were unsure at first and then went insane. One took one bite swam over to me went crazy on the glass throwing his fins every direction and swinimg up and down only like an inch like a mad man and took off and went to town on the shrimp like I gave never seen before. I think he was saying thank you it's so good and a what took you so dang long. I have some pics sorry there not to good hard to get the little ADHD guys to hold still long enough but I love them to take a good pic. You can see in the one pic it's a light spot on his head and the other down his side towards his tail. They both have it on there tails only one on it's head. Also a lights on shot. I'm working on some better pics for ya. Thank you!
