How to feed gsp if gone
A friend of mine is coming home from college over thanksgiving and he was wondering his options for feeding his gsp. He is going to be away from his apt for a week and so is everyone else due to the break.

If the fish is healthy and well fed prior to your going away then it should be fine for a week without food. How large is it?
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Re: How to feed gsp if gone
My tank setups will not go a week without care, so I use fish-sitters, professionals. All food is pre-measurted and separately packaged and dated for the date it is to be used, with typed instructions left on its' handling - which is demonstrated to the sitter before we leave. The owner of the LFS acts as back-up for the sitters, 24/7. I also have back-ups for all of the equipment I use already in-house.
But if the set-up will operate without attention for a week, any mature fish can go that period without food and with no harm.
