The first time I saw a catfish sleep on his back, it freaked me out totally, as I thought he was dead. And as it was one of my expensive zebra plecos, I didn't want to find one of them belly up. Even though I've now seen this over and over again, it still scares me a bit when I see one on its back.

It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

I have come to notice weird things like this happen with my GSP's when they sleep. I caught one of them this morning sleeping with its tail curled around a plant and it was dangling in the current. Weirdest thing I ever saw.
