Test Kits?

Post by mairdan13 »

hi guys,

I've found these test kits online which I like the look of. The first one is (clearly) more expensive than the second.. would it be good value for money?? It's
£49.99 - which equates to $80

The second one covers the basic four tests, amonia, nitrate, nitite and pH and come in at £16.95 (or $27)

i use API liqiud test kits as well. and thats all i have ever recommended from back when i worked at a pet store to now when i help friends set up tanks. not sure how available they are to you over there since many things seem to have very different availability. there are probably other recommended test kits if API isnt available for you. that one you linked is probably fine i just never had experience with them

decided to go with my original find.. the nutrafin master test kit as it's got everything i'd need... for those in the UK I found an
absolute bargain price, way lower than the competition.. £37 all in and free postage :)

API is the way to go without a doubt. From what I hear Nutrafin products are not that great.

possibly... I'll see how I get on and report back :)

I have an API Amonia test kit as well as my Nutrafin matser test kit now, I think I'll run a comparison to see how the results of both API and Nutrafin compare on that score...
