SAP fighting over food?

Post by 360º »

i fed them some blood worms today and 2 of my SAP were fighting for the same worm,

one guy was slurping it up and the other one tried to take it out of his mouth.

so one of them bit the other guys tail and it looks like he squished his rear fin(on his tail) (its not flared out, looks like its bunched together into a point)

just wondering if this is "normal"?

the guy that got bit is swimming perfectly, still together with a group and doesnt really seem scared of the guy that bit him

It's normal for fish to fight over food. If it becomes violent & they are consistently hurting each other, separation may be necessary.
