Chinese Algae Eater and Mbu?

Post by pufferpuggirl »

I will be moving BeeBoo (my Mbu) into a bigger tank soon, and I was just curious about something. I am selling most of the fish in the tank BeeBoo will be going to, but was wondering if I don't sell the Chinese Algae Eater as soon as I hoped I would, could I leave it in the tank with BeeBoo? I'm not concerned with BeeBoo doing anything to the CAE, but someone told me that CAE's will suck on fish at night, and was afraid that it would hurt BeeBoo. Now I have heard myself about CAE's sucking on fish, but do you think I would have a reason to be concerned for BeeBoo's health by leaving the CAE in that tank until I sell it? I was thinking that BeeBoo wouldn't allow it to suck onto him, as BeeBoo is much bigger than the CAE, but I just don't know for certain, and I do not want anything to happen to BeeBoo that might injure him. :stress:

It's just that I'd like to get BeeBoo into the bigger tank ASAP, and I am not sure how long it's going to take to sell the Chinese Algae Eater, hence my question. :D

Thanks in advance for any help. :grats:
