my new tank which has had my puffers in it now just about one week i did the saltwater high range ph color card and it showed ph was 8.8 i don't know if i should add or do something considering the tank is just now getting going with the ammonia/nitrate/nitrite cycle should i just be patient and wait or add a ph downer additive , the puffers are really doing good little cheesepuff is getting a little fatty fish he seems happy as does cremepuff and also powder puff for now i did purchase a new heater as the temp would not get higher than 74 f so this is a marineland heater which has already gottton the temp up to 78 overnight i want to add some java ferns probably two and tie them on several lava rocks in the tank any problems can you see with me doing this? thanks again for your advice and help. suzie-q

Don't worry about pH, especially when you're cycling the tank. Are you cycling with the puffers in there? Please use sentences when you post, I could barely understand what you wrote.
