When will my Striped Dog Face be comfortable

Post by Devinelyblessed »

I got a Striped Dog Face and a Stars and Stripes Puffer on Friday. They live in a 125g tank with a few gobies, and a tomato clown. The Stars and Stripes took to the tank great on the first day he's been swimming and eating since. The Striped Dog Face is a lot more shy. It swims at night or in the day when your not looking. I did catch it eating today which was good yesterday when I feed them it ran and hid and had a panic attack. today it ate but then swam back over to it's hiding spot and is laying there looking around. I cut the light on the side it hides. I was wondering when it may feel more comfortable and start coming out more. The Stars and Stripes doesn't bother it they get along good and swim together when the Striped comes out. Nobody messes with it. Any clues how long it takes or if the Striped is a more shy species?

I just got a 4" stars and stripes puffer this week and it sounds like what your dog face is doing. He is coming around now but the first few days are like that. Must depend on the individual fish.
