Maroon clown with white spots

Post by dab335 »

Hey guys I moved my tanks recently and I don't know if I stirred up something... My tank has beenestablished for at least 2 years. Ph 8.0 ammonia 0 0 nitrite and nitrate. Just did a 10 gal water change. My maroon clown had these bumps on him yesterday, this morning I get up and they have white coming out of them. It's sounds nasty but they look like pimples???? Do you think it's a virus or bacterial? Did I stir something up in moving the tank?

I doubt that you stirred something up but there are a lot of pathogens already in a system that can affect a fish under stress.

Ask here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=36
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

There's a post on the link that's shows exactly what they look like. There's a decorator crab in the tank along with a pinktail trigger. The trigger doesn't bother with the clown so I know it's not caused from a fight. The clown is acting normal otherwise, eating, swimming etc!
