Porcupine puffer and peas
I read recently that peas are a great supplement to feed porcupine puffers that don't graze algae. We gave it a try and Porky loved them! Has anyone else heard of this?

I've had a few puffers that liked algae wafers.

Shakespeare is usually good for 1 to 3 peas if offered, but no more than that.

Re: Porcupine puffer and peas
I never tried the canned peas, just freshly frozen ones as an occasional treat. Too often and some puffers can develop a bit of an addiction to them making it hard to take their regular staple foods.jus85411 wrote:just regular canned peas? i would like to try and see what my puffer would do

Thaw them out in a little water and then peel the skins off before you feed them.. the skins are hard to digest.
