I believe this stuff increases your alkalinity and calcium, so if you plan to use either, I would monitor those both carefully. If my memory serves me correct, your ideal calcium level should be around 400-450 ppm and your alkalinity should be around 180-200? I can't remember the exact digits. I believe both these products contain strontium also.
If your patient and maintaining proper water parameters, your purple coralline algae should start growing on its own with enough time. I believe coralline in general requires some patience though.

+1, i have plenty pf coralline algae & add none of that stuff. kalkwasser top off seems to keep me just fine, I check monthly, and rarely need to add two part. Using 2-littlefish two part currently but going to switch to BRS.
