i see the simularaty but the ones in the pictures have red tails mine has red fins but a bright blue tail and a red stripe on his belly

Blue tail I believe is the lorteti. Although yours does look red in that pic.

I'd say Carinotetraodon irrubesco. But then again I've only seen pic.

Carinotetraodon lorteti possesses the ability to change colour depending on its mood or surroundings. It's easily distinguished from its close relative C. irrubesco , by the absence of a red tail.

BTW, my lortetis were MEAN! The female killed 2 other females I placed with her along with the male, after spawning with her 3x.
