Very nice. I have the same plant in my DP tank. It's my favorite fake plant brand.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Yes, that one. I like them because their bases blend with my gravel, so I don't have to rebury them every time I clean.Muselistener wrote:Which one? the light green one? if thats the one youre talking about. yeah they're nice lookin'. i like the soft green look. complements the GSP's color.

I notice that you're using a hang-on filter, are you happy with yours? I have two of them on different tanks and I quite like them, even if they are a bit of a pain to clean.

It's not real. I did a bit of improvising. It was actually a clump of grass for breeding but i cut it into sections. =)Lil' Swimz$ wrote:It looks like there's grass in there? Is it real?

Re: My Newly Decorated 20 Gallon Tank
I had two of those plastic breeding grasses and because I didn't have any plants to put immediately in my Red-Line puffers tank, I took those and put them up against rocks, so they are standing up instead of laying flat, to give my puffers some cover. I think I'm going to leave them in because they don't look half bad, especially as I'm going to go to brackish with them anyway.
Improvising is a good thing in the fish-keeping hobby. I also printed off my own background pictures for that aquarium as well. I didn't want to wait to buy one, and the fish don't really care what's back there, so I did some looking on the internet, and found a background photo that I liked and printed it off. Then I cut the edges off the pages (I had to print out 4 pages for the size of the tank, some will need more) and taped them together, and then put it on the back of the tank. Looks just as good, and like I said, the fish don't mind.

Re: My Newly Decorated 20 Gallon Tank
I've made a spawning mop for cover for adult fish before, instead of getting more plants for the temporary setup. I don't have a bucket, so at times I have dechlorinated water in a plastic drawer. I quarantine in Tupperwares. I used control-top pantyhose as a baffle. I once put a CD rack in my hermit crab aquarium as a jungle gym. Ah, the things you can do...

Re: My Newly Decorated 20 Gallon Tank
Well, why buy something when you can improvise? I think it's a creative way to supply things for your tanks.
