1" gsp .. what to do to wear down teeth ...?

Post by Babalu »

Hi there,

My gsp is 1" long and in full marine conditions and is doing really really well ..
bright white belly, never seen it grey/dull and bright green patch on top of head and has went from 1/2" to 1" in 4 weeks :D

Im wondering how should i keep her teeth trim ... she doesnt eat snails
and I dont think the meat on mussle is effective enough since
she only eats so much and the teeth doesnt touch the bottom of shell ...

I do use shell on shrimp although not sure if this will work ...

Any suggestions??

you could try crab legs, she would have no choice but to crunch through the shell to get to the meat.

Scrape most of the meat off the mussel and freeze it, leave just enough on the shell so the GSP has to work at getting it off there, then feed it the shell.
