Yay!
Make sure they have algae available 24/7. Some of them refuse to eat pellet algae, so if you don't have a supply built up in the tank, keep a rock from the tank in a bowl of tank water by the window, where it can grow more algae, and switch it out every so often.

Ok. I have texas holy rock in there nd then medium-sized gravel. There is lots of algie in the filter. I do have a small piece of flat rock I could let sit and algae-fy.

Yep! Mine are an inch and three-quarters long, and my DPs are barely an inch yet. What's really funny is the inch-and-a-half ghost shrimp getting antsy when the DPs get too close, and jumping up in the water and waving its little claws like fists!

lol that's too funny.
The ottos are in the tank now and have taken to the tall plastic "grass". I saw that it's been growing something- so maybe its algae! Just set up the flat rock in a container of tank water in the sun. Maybe do a bit of gravel, too? I also see one snail on the side of the holy rock. So he hasn't killed them ALL yet.
Oh! And I finally got myself a proper water test kit! Woot!

Went out since 3-something. Seven hours later, the ottos are happy as pigs in mud- mostly sucking on the tank walls, but sometimes the rocks and plants. Squirt looks a little like "Let me check these guys out". They move quickly sometimes which startles Squirt. I noticed that one otto has a bit missing from the middle of the end of his tail. I didn't notice if that was the case when I first got them. You think Squirt nipped at him?
Also, I usually feed Squirt around now but I noticed his belly looks full already. Wonder if he's found worms and/or snails.

It's possible that Squirt nipped them. Just keep an eye on them, and watch for any aggression.

Mine did. Someone else's, I think Nick, didn't. They just starved. 
Make sure that they don't have high fish meal content - they're herbivores. I forgot to check until after I got the pellets home, and fish meal is the number-one ingredient.

Very cool, we highly reccomend then at work, one of the best algae eaters and love to be in a little group, i also like bristlnoses (ancistrus sp.) bulldog plecos and siamese flying foxes.
