GSP question

Post by Quill »

i understand that GSPs need snails and crustations. I wanted to buy him some snails but I was wondering, are there a certain breed of snail that I should get for him? or does it matter?

Pond snails are considered nuisance snails and you can probably get them for free. You can also breed snails. like spongebob said though, stay away from MTS (look like icecream cones) because they can potentially break your puffers teeth.

EDIT: If you are interested in breeding them, I would recommend pond snails or ramshorn since they are easiest.

I would go for some Rams Horn or Mystery Snails. Plain pond snails as well.

Yep! If you want to have a specific type to search for, pond snails and ramshorn snails are common. You can also ask pet stores for pest snails, and they'll often give them to you for free. Just be sure to quarantine first!
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."
