Dried Shrimp.

I have developed a simple way to remove the air from dried fish foods. What other compliants do people have with dried fish foods?

Only that you should vary their diet.

I've also noticed that people say that their puffers show little to no interest. Mine certainly don't, even when I've just soaked dried shrimp in garlic.

Dried shrimp has always been all 3 of my GSPs favorite food. I have seen one thread on this forum about someone who had a gsp that had to be burped(I suspect this is only a problem for small puffers) because of dried shrimp so I decided to try a Idea I had to remove the air. I have a big syringe used for injecting turkey seasoning. I removed the big needle, washed it, added some dried shrimp then filled it with water. I purge the air, cover the end of the syringe with my finger and pull the plunger creating a suction. You can do this once and the dried shrimp sinks just like frozen brine shrimp. It also works great for dry blood worms and krill.

I feed dried krill maybe once every week or two, always wanted to get a little to the bottom for the ray.

I tried dried krill on my puffers, and that was definitely not a success, other than it gave me a good puffer story. Only my GSP didn't hate it (I can't say she liked it though. She ate reluctantly - but at least she ate a little). No other puffer would have it. Those who tasted it, spit it out again. Not all bothered to even have a taste. Hufflepuff (R.I.P.) became so angry with me that he went sulking in a corner for 2 hours (he usually was up and down the glass every time I passed his tank), not wanting to have anything to do with me. Tiger took one bite and then spit it out again, and he got so angry that he started attacking a reflection on the tank glass in another part of the tank. He was not angry before he took the bite of krill, and he just snapped there and then. So no more freeze dried krill for my puffers. I threw the whole glass of krill away later on.
