How come there's no information posted on C lorteti, another redeye species? I have my Aqualog puffer book, which is a VERY good source of information, but just curious why there's no pic posted on the pufferpedia for them.
I just got 2 (male & female) yesterday, and I've put them in with my C irrubesco, which are much bigger than the lorteti.
I'd like to talk to anyone that has C lorteti now, so we can compare notes. I'm curious how big these little guys will get. I notice that some references to them call them the "dwarf" redeye species. But they already look much bigger than my Dwarf puffers.
So, if anyone out there is keeping C lorteti right now, please let me know. I'm curious to hear first-hand what these pretty little guys are like.

I have a lorteti pair. The care for lortetis is the same as for irrubescos, except that lortetis have a worse temper. I also find them more social than irrubescos. They always come up to the glass to beg for food, while my irrubesco mostly hides. Or the one irrubesco I now have hides all the time - it can be weeks between each time I see her. Her husband, who passed away last year, wasn't nearly as shy as she is, but was hiding pretty much too.
You are right that lortetis don't grow as much as irrubescos, but it's only 1,5 cm difference.

The female looks like an irrubesco female, maybe a little lighter colors. The male looked like an irrubesco male while he was small, except that he didn't have any red in his tail.
