Puffer teeth trimming

Every time i feed my puffer freeze dried blood worms, i hear him sort of grit his teeth.. Do you thing the freeze dried worms are helping keep his teeth filed? Hes afraid of snails and doesent know what to do with them.

What type of puffer wer'e talking about?

Before you offer freeze dried foods you have to soak them in water with vitamins to prevent your puffer swallow air. That could be dangerous.

You can try mussels, clam, shrimp... any crunch food will help his teeth.

I have a GSP that's about 3.5 inches, and a F8 puffer that's about an inch in separate tanks. I got the F8 about 2 months before I got my GSP and have had them a little over a year now. I hear the same thing when I feed my GSP, but not my F8. I was worried when I first heard my GSP eat because I thought he was grinding his teeth and I could see them, so I thought they were too long when I got him from the LFS, but after I posted some pics on here and had him for a couple months I found that he was ok. I think some of them just make more noise when they eat...? Hope this helps a little...
