I bought some frozen shrimp and in the ingredients it says: "Shrimp, Tripolyphosphate, Salt" Is tripolyphosphate bad for my fish?

its used to retian moisture it can have a toxic effect in the stomach equal to > 1,000 mg/kg on a person i wouldnt expect any ill effects. nor either on a fish but... i think buy raw would be much safer

Yes, always buy raw food for your fish--not cooked--as many nutrients are cooked out of it.
