Ok ive fallen in love with a Tetraodon Baileyi (hairy puffer

Post by indie »

So a couple of weeks ago a spotted a pair of Baileyi's at my lfs. Well, they were both just hidden in a rock and seemed a bit boring.
Anyway, I was at the LFS today and once again passed the puffer bit. Well, I could only see one left now, but this Baileyi comes swimming to the front of the glass to greet me.... and now i've fallen for him.
Ive somehow persuaded my partner to let me get another tank... All i have to decide is where am i going to put it
I see that Baileyi's only need a 25 gallon tank, which is perfect for my space requirements. So if i decide to go ahead i will have to phone the lfs and see if they will reserve him for me until ive got a tank ready. Otherwise knowing my luck he'll be gone!

Put it on an end table. That's what I did. :D Instead of lamps I have tanks on my end tables. Who needs a lamp anyway.

Well i live in a small 1 bedroom house. So the only floor space in the living room is taken up by the 58 gallon next to the tv and a 25 gallon tropical at the end of the couch. I'm tempted to move the tropical (which is my partners tank) over to near his computer so he can see it all the time... and then put the puffer thank there.... mmmm

Otherwise, I could find a space for it in my bedroom, but I can only fit a tank on my partners side of the bed... unless we switch sides.lol.

If your LFS has Bio-Spira or SafeStart, you might be able to get the puffer sooner. Just test the product with ammonia, before adding the puffer (after a big WC, of course).
