DP eating flake and not eating ghost shrimp
DP eating flake and not eating ghost shrimp
Thought this was kinda odd from what I was reading, my DP, a female to the best of my reckoning seems to actually enjoy eating the flake I put in to feed the random cycling guppy and the 2 ghost shrimp I have. I also thought it was kinda odd that my DP seems to like to hang out with my guppy and nibble on algae as well, she also doesn't seem to pay my ghost shrimp any mind at all. Just thought I would throw that out there, I think my DP is having an identity crisis.

Try feeding it bloodworms or black worms. Most dps don't bother with shrimp, and will take flake (which isn't good for them)
It sounds like your dp might be rather peaceful!

ha ha I am still feeding him blood worms and the odd snail, I just find it hilarious how she seems to have taken intrest in flakes as well, even with a round swollen belly! Do you think behavior would change if I got a male and another femal DP in my tank?

My DP's have left all kinds of shrimp alone....Ghost, Amano, Mandarin...Cherry....they are all intact. They love the bloodworms and the snails though. Temperament wise...might see a little bit of chasing around at first....but all in all, not too much..once they get their territories all figured out.
