Hmmm never heard of that before. Got any pictures of it? It might just be an alternative name which is not used very often.

Re: hi does any 1 no anything about the cream globe puffer
ive been looking at puffers and it looks quite like the bronze puffer but a bit deeper,if it is then its a full grown 1 at about 4 an a half inch.
its defently got a label on it saying cream globe puffer (rare), thats what it says on its label.
i can't find anything about this kind off fish anywere so i dont really no what it is.
i cant get a picture of it yet but if any 1 knows anything of a cream globe puffer or if they are even real, that would be a big help.
cheers

I have never heard of this fish before. I have heard Fahaka's called globe puffers but those are pretty easy to spot.

The translation of Puffer into many other languages comes out "globefish".

Re: hi does any 1 no anything about the cream globe puffer
I just hate those names made up to sell fishes or because the ones exporting/importing don't know themselves what it is. It's a shame a shop does not know what it is selling. How can they give proper advice or know it's a freshwater species?
Just yesterday I saw a white "dwarf moray", while I know for sure this particular species (not the dwarf Gymnothorax melatremus) gets almost 3 feet.
Picture or scientific name is needed. Anything else is guessing, isn't it?

it is a bronze puffer youll find most of them only grow to 4-5" faily agressive little things and very common in the UK, i opurchased one last year for £6 so that price is very vey high

Re: hi does any 1 no anything about the cream globe puffer
i to now think they have told me a load of crap and i will not get the puffer, this is the same lfs that gave me wrong information about the GSP so i was a little off about what they was telling me about the so called cream globe puffer.
i feel sorry for the customers and fish that travel through that shop.
its a full grown bronze puffer,im sure off it and even phoned up to ask if they had any bronze puffers but they still said no and that they only had this 1 cream globe puffer and that it is rare, lol by what i can find the only 1 ever.
i wish i took a couple off pics but dont think i will use this shop any more as there are 2 or 3 more good 1s near me,
but if i do go back and its there then i will take some pics to post on here.

The three pictures don't show the larger species, but A. modestus in my opinion.
