Does you GSP have spots on its tail?

Both my GSPs have spots at the base of the transparent part of there tails, but no other GSPs I've seen at the LFS or walmart have the spots. Is this unique, or signs of good or bad health/water conditions?

Some do, some don't.
Some don't have them when young, but get them when growing older.
Some even develop kind of vertical lines out of the spots on the tail.
No sign of water condition or health in my opinion.

Both of my gsp's were bought at wal mart. The smaller one has always had faint spots on it's tail. The smaller gsp is calmer and very fast getting food. Nether gsp has ever been ill.

A few months later one of by GSPs has a big dark spot int the upper middle of his tail, still no signs of any illness.

I have 2 gsps and one has a perfectly clear/white tail, and the other one has little black dots on it, which makes him look stressed, he never looks quite clear and happy/white because of where some of his spots are.

Mine started out with a perfectly transparent tail, sometimes now I can see spots and others they disappear.
It seems to me to be similarly attached to the white belly happy mood thing, as when he goes all dark and in feeding or hunting mode, the spots are quite visible, but when he's being all stupid and happy up the front of the tank I can hardly see them.

I think they become more visible as the puffers get larger and the tail tissue more dense. Shakespeare has spots visible on his tail all the time
