WHERE TO BUY SNAILS!?!

Post by Gibbers&Domingo »

Hi guys

I have just purchased 2 GSP's. They are settling into their new tank very well, they have been eating and are very active. I am feeding them bloodworm and brineshrimp at the moment and am going to purchase some mussels for them. However I really want to get some very small live snails that can breed in the tank so that the puffers can eat them whenever they see fit. Any ideas where i can buy some? Im in the UK and have searched the internet as well as phoning the shop I got them from.

HELP!

Unfortunately, the snails won't have time to breed once you add them to their tank. If you wish to breed snails, you'll have to set up a separate tank.

You should look for Pond snails and/or Ramshorn snails. Check on Ebay and see if anyone is selling some. Often times, you can get a decent amount of snails for a reasonable price. Also, look around for local fish clubs, as it's possible that some people near/around you might have excess snails they'd like to get rid of. :)
