A. Mappa Coloration and Geographic location
I just received my 2nd Mappa the other day - he is much brighter than the first. My older one who is about 5+ inches now is black with white lines and the new one is light tan. The black one was supposed to have come from East coast of Africa and the Tan one, Soloman islands. At least thats what I was told! I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on the colorations or sources they could point me to? I am wondering how variable it can be...

i've seem diodon holocanthus that come from different regions be different colors, probably just a different gene pool, or could be age, diet also plays a role in the color of the animal, could be a mixture of all these factors?
