Re: my 10 Gallon tank
I would add a background because, IME, it makes the fish feel more secure than a bare wall. Looks good though.

Yeah, add a background (even if you just use bristol board), and if you want him/her to feel a little more secure, put some background halfway along both sides (so the front half of both side panels are visible). Or if it's facing two walls (it looks like there's a wall on the right side of the picture), cover up that side and the back one instead (since you won't be able to really look through it anyways).

Re: my 10 Gallon tank
I see it's been almost a year since this post, I was just seeing how your F8 is doing. Are you keeping him in a 10 gallon? I want to get a puffer, I'm not sure which kind, I have a 10 gallon as well but people on here are telling me it's too small...
How's it working out for you?
thanks!

Figure 8s do better in a 15 gallon.

Two F8's, two tiny fantails and a pleco call me mommy.

Re: my 10 Gallon tank
ittll be fine of a little guy to grow in for now. its a nice little set up simple but with alot a little puffer mind can explore. if you drop like 12 ghost shrimp in there every now and again they would ove it and never be bored. do concider a up grade in the future though and remember they tend to do better in slightly salty water.
