Reef-safe puffers?

Reef-safe puffers?
I'm starting a marine tank. I was going going to do fish-only with puffers and triggers and whatnot, but I decided to go all out and do a reef tank. I'd still really like a puffer, but have been told that pretty much all marine puffers are not reef-safe. Is this true? Are there degrees to this? And does anyone know whether boxfish are just as bad, or can these be kept in a reef tank?

My Valentni doesn't seem to bother anything but I don't have SPS in his tank.

Each puffer is different. Even with FW puffers, some dwarf puffers kill ghost shrimp to eat them, others just murder them for fun, and some ignore the shrimp totally or are even afraid of them.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

I have a peppermint shrimp, hermits & snails he doesn't touch. As Nick says, every puffer is different.

Yup there right, my previous puffer inspected the corals but he never took a bite out of them
