what a hit!
i bought some market shrimp for the puffs. i had cut up a half of one (im glad i did because it took two small pieces to fill them up). the rest is in the freezer. but just wow. both of my puffs have never been picky about food but they LOVED the shrimp tonight. theyir bellies are so full. dot is of course begging at the top of the tank, but since she looks like the goodyear blimp im cutting her off. spot also pigged out and is now taking a small nap. poor little guy. wow. they dont even hit snails this hard!

What kind of shrimp? And were they frozen or fresh?

just shrimp. like the kind you would eat for dinner. they were previously frozen, but thawed. they were raw. the puffers seemed to really enjoy eating them
and today i finally got some crushed coral. both puffers had been really itchy and looking stressed out. i couldnt find aragonite without it being "live" which i thought might funk up my tank. the coral seems to be a hit. they are both buzzing around looking neon green for the first time in days. i also increased the salinity to 1.004 from around 1.002-1.003 (all ive got right now is a hydrometer). but both puffers seem to really be enjoying the new substrate

A hydrometer is fine.
