Red Cherry Shrimp

Post by stormycat »

Seeing as I need to replenish my snail tank with ramshorn, I got in touch with the guy who I buy them off to get some more. He said he has got some red cherry shrimp and crayfish. Excuse my ignorance but can I feed these to my Gsps? I don't come accross any live food where we live and have never seen these before. Is any type of shrimp ok? Also could I keep these in the snail tank aswell?

Thanks

Yes, I keep Red Cherry shrimps in a snail breeding tank, and, yes, they can be fed to puffers just as any other fresh shrimp.

I have been unable to get snails lately and have been using crayfish. My puffers don't kill them very quickly though, so I pre-kill them because I used to keep them as pet and have a soft spot for them. They will keep moving in ways that attract puffer attention for a LONG time after their brain is destroyed.
