some question about GSP food

Post by match55 »

I had read some article on the internet, and saw people feed their puffer with gut loaded ghost shrimps, I am a new fish keeper and want to know how do you actually gut loaded them.
I also saw people said you can feed squid to your puffer, is it good if i brought food from the supermarket (shrimps, squid, crab, or mussel), do i have to soak them with something before I feed them to the puffer?
Someone also said i need to feed the puffer with greens, like seaweed, but what kind of seaweed??

I want to know how to take card of a puffer before I get one.
so, if someone can give me the right direction, that will be great.
Thank you so much

i had a 46gal tank, with some mollies inside right now.

GUt loading shrimp is just feeding the shrimp with (vitamin enriched) food, before you feed them to your puffer.
Check out the feeding article in the library, that should help you a whole lot.

Unlikely, but frozen raw food or freezing it yourself is a good backup to make sure.
