Hairy Puffer

Post by Pufferpunk »

Well, my LFS can't seem to sell their hairy puffer, so I got a call today to come & get him for free. Although I'd love to keep him, I have no where to put him & no room for another tank. I could possibly put a divider in my 20g but I already have a 4" modestus & 6" Royal pleco in there. Do they make dividers for 125g tanks? I might be able to keep it in there but my fahaka might still break thru that. Gosh, I don't know what to do!

Free? Since when is there "no room for another tank"? That's rubbish!

No, jk, I completely understand, I would buy all the fish in every LFS I walk in if I could.

does anyone here want him? All you'd pay is shipping.

Thats crazy that they are just giving him away! I wish I had room for him since my boyfriend really likes those puffers but we just started the salt water tank and we are in the hole $300 and the tank isn't even close to done. So no more tanks for us now. Sorry I wish I knew someone that would take him.

I think I can. I have an empty 29 gallon, all I need to do is cycle it and make it look pretty.

Never shipped a Fish... How would you go about doing it? I have a cycled 55 Gallon tank that would love to except my 6th Puffer. I do not have a Hairy Puffer.... I would be interested in it. Zip Code 85323. Let me know what shipping would be. Thank you

I was merely putting it out there that if Crazed didn't or couldn't I would be interested.. I will await to see if I am in line.

I will stop by my house later on and get my camera before I head over to my LFS to snap some pictures of my Teraodon.

What I'd really like is not to have to ship it. Anyone coming to the Chicago area anytime soon?

Isn't IMAC soon? Perhaps if he can hold out, someone from there can get him.

The only one I know going to IMAC is Myaj. Also, they want it gone now, which is why they are giving me a $150 fish.

Ya I showed my boyfriend a picture of one and he was like I want that puffer! I told him no since we don't have a tank for him. We live about 6 hours away too bad we don't have a tank. All we have open right now is the 10 gallon qt tank.

I'm sure my friend would love him for his 55 gallon, but I'm all the way up in Canada, so that's no good. Haha!

As for a divider in a 125g, you could pick up some of that pink foam and silicone a couple pieces together, then just wedge it into the tank for the time being. That or pick up a piece of plexiglass. *Shrug*
