GSP color meanings

Post by lferg »

What does it mean when my GSP changes to a really dark green? So dark that you almost can't see his spots? Is it hunting colors. I have noticed he does this when he is "stroked" by cleaner shrimp..... Is he thinking about eating them?

When resting in a lit aquarium, mine turn dark, when sleeping with the lights out, they get VERY VERY pale. If your GSP will let cleaner shrimp work on him thats a real stroke of GOOD luck, most will just tear them to shreds and eat them.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

Hi!

Once I read a good article written by Justin Petrey, here's the link: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume_3/ ... uffers.htm

It tells about puffer's behavior and how to undestand their signs.

I've heard you have to be careful if other things are cleaning puffers. Since they don't have scales, their slime coat is the only thing that protects them, and having it cleaned might be problematic. However, my memory seems to be a bit foggy on this, so don't get worried about it, haha.
