I've pretty much had it with my community tank. I decided I'd rather have one or two fish I really care about than a tank of random fish. So I'll be moving the 4 remaining female betta to a 10gallon, as I do still adore them, and giving my danios and tetras to my LFS.
After I do that I'll have an empty 29gallon and I'd like to get a puffer. Right now I have a Green Spotted Puffer and a Dwarf Puffer. I know the people at the LFS really well, and they can order in nearly any fish, so it's just a matter of choosing one.
I don't want saltwater, and I don't want high-end brackish. I was thinking of taking another GSP rescue, but I'm really not up for another high-end brackish tank.
I really like:
Monotrete Abei
Monotrete Baileyi
Tetraodon miurus
Tetraodon cutcutia
But I'm having trouble deciding which one I want. I love the puffers that burry themselves in the sand, but at the same time it kind of leaves the tank looking empty.
I guess I'm just looking for opinions. Of the ones I listed are any of them "impossible" to get? I think Monotrete Abei is at the top of my list, but then again, I'm still unsure.

My dream puffer is miurus, but I've never had any myself. Abei, I've had, and I didn't regret buying it. It was an aggressive and smart little one, and I love them when they are aggressive. I would recommend an abei - they've got lots of personality (like most puffers 
)

Want an impossible to find puffer? Try an A. Modestus or an A. Silus. I've only seen each one once ever. It'll fit in a 29G alone, and only gets about 4''. They look really cool plus they're completely freshwater. Good luck finding one though. PufferPunk has one.

I would probably choose Abei as well.
Bailieys are very rare, and very funky looking, but pretty much sit there until feeding time.
I used to see modestus around here all the time, but, similar to SAP's, they only seem to show up at certain times of the year. If you can find one of those, they are freshwater, active and brightly colored.
