Similar Puffers + Decision

Okay, I have a quick question. Apparently, I have given up attempting a sw tank, as a 20 high is too small for a newbie sw aquarist. It would probably be the same price with all of the fish losses as just setting up another 100G. I want another puffer like the one I used to have because they look awesome, I actually know how to take care of one now, I'm not gonna do anything dumb, and they would make a great addition to my tank or the tank I might set up. My question is, should I get an Silus or a Modestus? I used to have a modestus, and he was awesome, but I don't really want to stuff another fish in my 100G. Should I get a Silus and put it in the 20 high? I heard they don't get as big. See this post:

Anyway, I kinda wanted another cool puffer, and there's a full grown modestus with a moustache-looking mark on it at my LFS, but I don't know if they cut it's teeth, and he just survived an ich attack a couple of weeks ago. I nicknamed him Antonio, and I feel bad because he's been there for at least 8 months now, and apparently nobody likes Modestus'. Anyway, should I:
a) Get the Modestus and put him in my 100G
b) Get the Modestus and put him in the 20G high
c) Don't get any fish at all and just forget it
d) Order a Silus small and put it in the 20G high or
e) Get a smaller Modestus, and move him out of the 20G high to the 100G eventually

Do you have access to both species?

I can order a Silus with a lot of hard work through a reliable LFS, and I can get a medium or large modestus.

After all that scolding you did about keeping one in a 20g? I prefer the modestus.

Am I wrong or did you already have an A. modestus in your larger tank?

I would not (or only very carefully) try to mix two specimens of this genus, which are not introduced to a tank together.

My previous one died because of my classic noob mistake of having an uncycled tank. I do want a puffer like that, and I think that a Silus would work okay 'cause it's smaller than a Modestus, but if you guys say not to, I might not. I actually want a Modestus, but it'll be kinda annoying w/ another fish in the "big" tank.

Yup. 1/2 inch worms eaten by a 9 inch worm

My fire eel ate AGAIN last night! I guess he was just too dumb to find the food, or maybe I was too dumb to put it in the right place. We're co-operating now

Just because your last modestus was nice, doesn't mean in any way, you'll find another "community" puffer.

I agree. However, all of the fish in my 100G are tough as nails, but I think that I might not want to take that chance again. Thanks for the advice, guys!

as tough as you think your fish are they are no match for the teeth of a puffer. Even so called armoured catfish would succumb to bites IMO

Oh yes, they will! My abei when straight for my plecos only vulnerable part: the belly. It got a bad wound, that luckily has healed nicely. No more plecs together with puffers!

Hmmmm what type of fish?

He killed some cory catfish, cichlids, DP & 3 SAPs. I don't remember the rest.

He killed another modestus I tried to add with him too.
