Crab Leg?

Post by corinaswim »

Will a gsp eat snow crab legs? If I cut it into tiny pieces? I usually get him snails but he is in partially salt water and he looses interest too quickly and the snails just die. What about ghost shrimp? Do they have a hard shell that would help his teeth?

the crab leg will work, just feed him the hard end so he has to chew on it to get any meat. I don't think the shrimp's shell will do anything for his teeth, but still a good food for him. Don't forget you can feed him mussels also. :)
Have you read the feeding articles in the library? they are very helpful.

Yeah I read the articles but my sources are limited so I was asking about the shrimp and crab leg. Thank you, that was helpful.

I hand feed shell on snow crab to my gsp's so I don't have a lot of waste in the tank. I feed them the small end of the leg so the puffers do not fill up the meat fast and they have to chew on the shell.
