POLL of Pronunciation
So ive heard several ways that Tetraodon is pronounced. I work in an awesome "LFS" so i hear the butcherings constantly. These pronunciations make me wonder though...
1. Tetra Don as most say it
2. Tetra Oh Don doesnt really roll off the tounge
3. Tet Ray Oh Don that one was pretty funny

Normal scientific name pronounciation varies country to country, but in the USA we do try very hard not to elide out or fuse adjacent syllables. When you do that you lose the root words that give the name meaning. The family is defined by the fused dental plates, why not keep the verbal form which provides that meaning?
