Arrowhead Puffer

a quick ? 4 any one who knows about these guys. my arrowheads are very active my water parameters are all normal my water temp is on the low side at 74 i feed these guys everyday.tonight i feed them an adult super worm each,those are just like king mealworrms i gut load them and feed them to my tegu,monitor and leopard gecko;s. this mourning i feed them a silverside each they are about 2 inches and i do not now if i need to feed them more than what i am orwhat i have read the info on the pedia, it said that thay are not supposed to be active?well they have pleny of space they arein the 125 right now.they are not being aggressive toward eachother at all.i know alot agree that i need to seperate them. but i wanna try to keep them together,scince their is plenty of space.when one gets to close to the other one theyjet and i mean jet away from eachother.any way any input on behaviour and food amount would be appreciated thanx

I'm surprised they are so active & am wondering if it is because they are together. Mealworms are extremely fatty & I would only feed them as an occasional treat. What crustacesons are you feeding them? I only feed my miurus about 1-2x/week but she doesn't move much.

yes the super worm was just a treat, ill usually feed them a couple of silversides a day,ocassionally ill feed bloodworms,very rare cause their so messy also as a treat ill feed kalamari bits i cut up 4 them.i also have clams in a half shell but those are just 4 my baby fahakas he loves them,the arrowheads just wanna crush somthing that moves.as for the two arrowheads getting along they seem to be doing great. they are active day and night,mostly at night though as soon as i feed them somthing they sink to the bottom and act like a rock.then a few hours go by and they are swimming at the top and acting as if they are looking for food again. last friday i was trying to take one back to the pet store but the guys their were just presistant,assuring me they will be fine together. so i guess ill just keep them and keep my eye on them.the only time i have seen what appeared to be domination ,was when i had them in my 20gal one would lay on top of the other.at 1st i thought they were a mating pair but that is just not the case they are still little bitty, someone told me they can get up to 6 inches and about as big around as you;re fist?

If they are young, that might explain the nonviolence. Puffers often don't become grumpy and territorial until sexual maturity.

i wish i could keep another arrowhead with mine...i woudlnt dare even try anything that moves hes on it.
