20 Gallons too small for an Auriglobus modestus/Bronze P.?

Post by groovitudedude »

Hey, I'm rather new to the forum, and It appears that I own a puffer that not that many members of the forum own. It's name is the Auriglobus modestus, or Bronze Puffer. In the PufferPedia, it says that they may be kept in a 20 Gallon Aquarium. Do any other AURIGLOBUS MODESTUS OWNERS think that this is a bit of an understatement? I think that they should be kept in AT LEAST a 40 Gallon aquarium. The PufferPedia minimum is assuming that you have absoultely no other fish, and that your Bronze Puffer is lethargic. I have a high-engery Bronze Puffer in a 55G tank, which is soon to be a 100G due to my oversized Tinfoil Barbs and Banded Leporinus. My question is, does anybody else think that a 20 Gallon tank is too small for a Bronze Puffer?
