Information needed on T.Abei

Hi All,
Finally I found out the species of puff I bought.
Its VERY likely to be a T.Abei.
Its doing well now, feeding readily on offered bloodworms. Only thing is, I need more information on keeping these cuties. Seems that its a rather recent discovery (1998 I think) hence not much information on the habitat and size (105mm?) and such...

Could someone please enlighten me.

I have found them to be the most aggressive puffer I have, more so than a fahaka.Little is known about them and they are becoming increasing available in the trade.

Well... good thing its isolated... any idea how big these babies grow to??

Your fish actually looks more like a T. leiurus to me, the target puffer. Which is still quite an angry puffer that will attack anything that moves and should be isolated. They grow to be 6'' and will eat just about anything.

To call him a 'target' puffer is a broad way of putting it. The species, after looking at wolands pics of his, is very likely to be a t.abei. Check out pufferarchers note about 'targetpuffers' on the puffer list.

If you re-read my post you'll see that I indicated the exact species I am referring to, the T. leiurus.
