What kind of Puffer is this??

Post by a375underdog »

Can someone help me out? When I bought this fish the shop keeper told me it was a Red-bellied puffer. I cannot find any information on it and was hoping someone could help get me up to speed. Thanks in advance.

How are you housing it? Do you have a cycled tank ready?

I have it in a 55 Gal. tank with a scum-sucker fish, a couple snails, and some guppies. Going to get some more crustaceans soon for him to munch on.

The tank is a good size I think but you may need to remove the "scum sucker" as you call it. I guess you mean a plec of some description. At some point the puffer will take chunks out of it.
